Raymarine's PC navigation solution for Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems only (Apple OSx, Windows Vista and Windows 8 are unsupported). Raymarine RayTech™ RNS v6.2 provides a comprehensive set of navigation tools including multi-format electronic charting, SeaTalkHS electronics integration, worldwide tides and currents, and more.

Please note, RayTech (all versions) only supports Navionics Compact Flash cards when connected via a compatible MFD or Navionics card reader. mSD and SD Chart cards are not supported and Voyage planner should be used for these types of cards.

Before you can begin installing Raymarine RayTech™ Navigation Software, you need to make sure that the PC you intend to use meets the minimum hardware requirements for running the software. While Raymarine RayTech Navigation Software will run successfully on the minimum requirement, for best performance, the optimum requirements are recommended.
In addition to the minimum/optimum requirements, Raymarine Raytech RNS v6.2 will also require one or more of the following, depending on how the PC is to be connected to your instruments/system (None of these are required for the use of Raymarine RayTech Planner):
This adapter is generally not required when networking Raymarine RayTech RNS 6.2 with Raymarine E Series Classic, Raymarine C Series Wide or Raymarine G Series displays, as SeaTalk and NMEA data is carried over the SeaTalkHS network.
In the event you are interfacing to SeaTalk or NMEA 0183 equipment, and your PC or laptop is not already equipped with a serial port, we recommend the following adapter:

This adapter is generally not required when networking Raymarine RayTech RNS 6.2 with Raymarine E Series or Raymarine G Series displays, as SeaTalk and NMEA data is carried over the SeaTalkHS network.
Before installing any software product on your PC, it is a good idea to make sure your PC's operating system is up-to-date. For best system and application performance, Raymarine strongly recommends installing the latest Microsoft Windows Service Pack applicable to your operating system. Additionally, it is recommended that you run the Microsoft Windows Update service before installing Raymarine RayTech RNS 6.2. Windows Update is a free Internet tool that provides up-to-the-minute updates for Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, and PC hardware device drivers. The Windows Update tool may be launched at any time by opening the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser, and clicking on the 'Tools' menu, then selecting 'Windows Update'. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update.
Raymarine RayTech RNS 6.2 is a graphics intensive application. For optimal performance, Raymarine recommends installing the latest video driver update for your PC's graphics hardware. For desktop systems, these updates are available from the graphics hardware manufacturer, or possibly through the Microsoft Windows Update service. Notebook PC users should obtain the latest video driver update from the PC manufacturer.
